These systems have been dramatically simplified. EVs are now rewarded uniformly for each foe fainted. 2 EVs in each stat to each participant. This incentivizes some amount of individual growth throughout gameplay but significantly cuts out any kind of grind or FOMO normally attached to EVs. IVs no longer roll 0-31. By default, IVs are always 31. You can opt to have some randomization to IVs if you disable the associated setting.
Encounters for an area are locked when you capture them. This is to better facilitate varying rules that people follow in nuzlockes. Shiny mons should always be catchable but will still count as your encounter for the area if not already used. Trades and gifts are not tracked.
There is a 1% chance with the randomizer OFF to see a randomized wild encounter. This will not have randomized abilities or moves like the randomized mode does. After 8 gym badges, the 1% slot will always roll a non-static legend. After 16, the chance increases to 5%.
Megas are largely nerfed. Mega Stones have been consolidated to two. One for standard mega evolution and a second Alt. stone to handle other forms like Charizard/Lucario/Absol/etc. Only non-legendary mega options are available to the player at this time.
